While LG and Samsung are fighting to steal the show at Mobile World Congress with the G5 and Galaxy S7 respectively, the folks at HTC are keeping it low, opting to launch a handful of not-so-important smartphones. Having decided to launch its flagship for the year at a later date, the Taiwan-based phone maker brought to Barcelona three new Desire phones ( the Desire 530, Desire 630, and Desire 825) and re-launched mid-range One X9 with a revised premium design. However, the media’s attention is not turning away from the HTC One M10 leaks. The latest HTC One M10 (known internally as HTC Perfume) shows us a close-up with the smartphone’s main camera module. The spy shot was posted on Weibo by an account that which has since deleted the post. However, the guys have been quick enough to save the photo and show it to us.

Even though we’ve seen photos of HTC One M10’s back in the past, this one reveals some interesting details. First of all, the camera module appears quite different from what the company used for its One M7, One M8, and One M9 flagships in the past. It also has a protruding ring around it. Furthermore, there’s a dual-LED flash to the right of the camera sensor along with another space which should be the laser-autofocus module the phone is rumored to feature.

There’s also a clear view of HTC’s antenna lines and it can also be seen that while being made of metal, the back has a very different aesthetic. Maybe it’s because the “new metal design techniques” the company also used for the new One X9 variant.

If the rumors are to be believed, the hardware platform of the new HTC One M10 will be at least as powerful as the one of its main rivals, the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7. HTC’s next-gen flagship is expected to pack a 5.1-inch (5.3-inch by some rumors) AMOLED panel with Quad HD resolution, a 64-bit quad-core Snapdragon 820 chipset from Qualcomm, Adreno 530 GPU, and 4 GB of RAM.

HTC One M10 is said to pack 32 GB of microSD-expandable storage and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with the company’s proprietary Sense 8. As for the cameras of the smartphone, sources in the industry say that the main snapper will have a 12 MP sensor packing HTC’s UltraPixel technology, while the selfie shooter will be a 4 MP UltraPixel module.

There’s no concrete information about the release date of the HTC One M10. While some reports say that the Taiwan-based company will introduce the smartphone to the public late March, other suggest the smartphone will debut early April.
